American Pizza Slice was established in 1998, after Liverpool based founder Paul sparked the idea of bringing the New York City “pizza by the slice” concept across the pond.

Setting up shop in the central L1 region, city dwellers and tourists now had a new one stop place for their quick lunch needs, and locals across the city had a new favourite pizza delivery place for their take-out treats. Even with opening its doors for the first time in 2001, this makes American Pizza Slice the first pizza place in the UK dedicated to selling by the slice, and in turn has carved out its very own piece of the food service industry.

The Whitechapel store in Liverpool City Centre was the flagship business that dozens, if not hundreds of others have attempted to replicate. The success of the first Whitechapel store, with its strong urban interior theme setting fire to the hearts of the 90's youth, lead to two further Liverpool based stores; one in the suburban Waterloo area in 2008, and the most recent addition in 2016 sits on Bold Street- the cultural powerhouse of Liverpool City Centre.
